Cruz not American born

Along with having lived in the U.S. for 14 years and being over the age of 35.
The issue has come to the fore again with the revelation Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, a Tea Partier and possible candidate for the White House in 2016, is a Canadian. He was born in Calgary to a Cuban father and an American mother.
Of course, he’s also an American, but is he a natural-born one, a vital qualification for anyone dreaming of the White House?
The natural-born provision was introduced in the earliest days of the republic to prevent the country from falling under foreign influence. But nowhere does the U.S. Constitution define exactly what it means.
